AML (anti-money-laundering check)

The anti-money-laundering rulebook that obliges a casino to identify the client and the origin of their money when turnover or behaviour crosses a risk threshold.

AML (anti-money laundering) is the anti-money-laundering rulebook that obliges a casino to know who its client is and where their money comes from. A licensed operator has to run risk-based monitoring — a no-KYC casino does it too, just in the background and later: the account opens quickly and anonymously, but the check can trigger when money starts to move out.

When the check triggers. The three usual triggers are large cumulative turnover, a sudden change of pattern (a quiet account suddenly makes an unusually large deposit) and a random sample. Operators rarely publish exact thresholds and they differ by licence — the Curaçao licence sets minimums, the rest is decided by the casino's own risk policy.

What is asked for. Usually an identity document and a selfie, and for larger amounts also proof of the origin of funds: a salary certificate, an exchange statement or transaction IDs. The withdrawal sits until the check is complete — it cannot be cancelled, sped up or redirected to another address. That is why one slow withdrawal does not always mean a bad casino.

What to check:

- whether the terms state at all when and which documents are requested; - whether a deadline is set for the check or it is left open; - whether support answers substantively when you ask for the document list before the first withdrawal; - whether your own paperwork exists — exchange statements and transaction IDs are worth keeping from the first deposit onwards.

If proving the origin of funds drags on, so does your money. In every review in the ranking we look at whether the document demand matched what the terms promised; the technical steps around deposits and withdrawals are set out in the payments overview and the network-side waiting under the term confirmation.

Guide

AML on põhjus, miks dokumenti lõpuks ikka küsitakse

Rahapesu tõkestamise (AML) nõuded ei ole kasiino kapriis, vaid litsentsi tingimus. Just need
nõuded panevad paika, millal KYC käivitub: suurem väljamakse, ebatavaline
tehingumuster, kiired sisse-välja tsüklid ilma mänguta, või raha, mis tuleb aadressilt, mille
maja teenusepakkuja on märgistanud.

oodata.

Mida see praktikas tähendab. Hoia oma tehingud lihtsad ja järjepidevad. Ära kasuta miksereid
ega vahendajaid, mille päritolu sa ise ei suuda selgitada. Ja arvesta, et päritolutõendi nõue
lisab menetlusele päevi — kiirete väljamaksete edetabel mõõdab
tavaolukorda, mitte AML-kontrolli all olevat kontot.

Eestis on rahapesu tõkestamine Rahapesu Andmebüroo pädevuses ja Eesti tegevusloaga kasiinod on
selle järelevalve all — EMTA nimekiri näitab, kellel luba on. Neid maju võrdlevad
