Three things you can do right now

None of these assumes that you consider yourself a problem gambler. Prevention is always cheaper than the consequence.

Self-assessment

2 minutes

A short anonymous questionnaire that gives an honest picture of whether your playing is under control. The answers are not stored or linked to you.

Foreign casinos are not connected to HAMPI

HAMPI, the list of persons with gambling restrictions, applies only to operators with an Estonian licence. If you have excluded yourself through HAMPI, a foreign crypto casino will not keep you away — an account can be opened with an email address and a wallet, often without identity verification. If self-exclusion is a necessary tool for you, then do not play at foreign casinos at all. That is the most important sentence on this site.

Before playing

Set the limits before, not after

A limit you set calmly holds. A limit you set after a loss is already a matter for negotiation.

A money limit per month

Decide the amount whose loss will not change your month or your relationships. Move only that into the casino — and only once the bills and the rent are paid.

A time limit for a session

Decide the session's length in advance and set the phone to remind you. Without an alarm, "five more minutes" stretches unnoticed into hours.

Do not keep a balance at the casino

Withdraw winnings to your own wallet immediately. Money left sitting on the account turns into "playing money" in your head, which is easier to lose than real money.

Do not chase losses

The plan "I will win the lost money back" is the fastest route to a large loss. If you catch yourself thinking it, the session is over — now, not in half an hour.

Six questions to ask yourself

Answer honestly — nobody but you sees these answers. If even two answers are "yes", talk to someone.

Do you play with a larger amount than you had planned?

Have you lied to those close to you about how much you play or lose?

Do you play in order to win back earlier losses?

Have you borrowed money to play or postponed bills?

Does playing interfere with work, studies, sleep or relationships?

Do you feel restless or anxious when you cannot play?

A longer version is in the self-assessment — it takes two minutes, is anonymous and gives a specific recommendation based on the answers.

Help and contacts

Help exists and it is free

None of the services below requires a diagnosis, a referral or money. A family member can ask for help and advice too, not only the player.

Recurring questions

Responsible gambling and crypto casinos

Questions concerning foreign crypto casinos specifically. The rules of casinos with an Estonian licence do not apply here.

Does HAMPI protect me at a foreign crypto casino too?
No. HAMPI binds only operators with an Estonian licence. A foreign casino does not query that register and knows nothing about it, so an account can be opened even when you have excluded yourself in Estonia. If you need self-exclusion, the only reliable solution is not to play at foreign casinos at all.
Can limits be set at a crypto casino at all?
Most foreign casinos offer deposit, loss and time limits and a temporary account freeze in the account settings, but their quality varies a lot: some can be turned back immediately after being set, another takes effect only from the next day. In every review we note which responsible gambling tools a casino really has.
Does an anonymous no-KYC account make playing more dangerous?
An account without identity verification means nobody checks the volume of your playing or your age, and that self-exclusion from one casino does not carry over to others. That is precisely why the limits, the breaks and the control have to come from you, not from the casino.
How do I block gambling payments at the bank?
Estonian banks allow a block on gambling and crypto purchases to be set on a card in internet banking or through customer support. The block is not watertight — crypto can be bought by other routes too — but it adds friction to the path and a moment during which you can change your mind.
What to do when the worry is about someone close to you?
Start with a conversation without accusations and ultimatums, and do not pay off debts without a clear agreement. The counselling line 15410 and 15410.ee also advise family and friends — you do not have to solve it alone. A longer guide is on the page For family and friends.
The editorial promise

How this site carries responsibility

0118+ on every page

Every page's footer carries the age limit badge and a link here. None of our pages gives the impression that gambling is an income or a solution to money trouble.

02No targeting of people seeking help

Neither this page nor the self-assessment has a single affiliate link, bonus advertisement or pop-up. A person looking for help does not have to pass an offer to reach the contacts.

03Wording that does not pressure

We do not use expressions like "win your losses back", "last chance" or "guaranteed win" in articles or bonus descriptions.

04Write if you spot a breach

If one of our pages breaks this promise, write to toimetus@kryptokasiinod.ee — we fix it and record the change in the change log.

If something on this list felt familiar, do not leave it until tomorrow

The two-minute self-assessment gives an honest picture and the counselling line 15410 answers on working days. Neither requires a name, an account or registration.
