Plinko is the crypto casinos' signature game: a ball drops through a pyramid of pins and lands in a slot whose multiplier is known before the game. Mathematically it is a binomial distribution in visual form — the middle slots are hit most often, the edges very rarely.
Two settings that change everything
The risk level and the number of rows. At low risk the multipliers stay between about 0.5× and 5×; at high risk they start from 0.2× and reach 1000× or beyond. More rows means more slots and a sharper edge.
Important: the house edge does not change with either setting. It is usually 1%, i.e. an RTP of 99% at every setting. What changes is only the volatility — how much of the result comes from a single rare hit.
Why high risk does not work with a small balance
In high-risk mode most drops are below the stake and the entire positive result concentrates at the edges. With a small balance you usually reach zero before the big multiplier comes. That is not bad luck but the shape of the distribution.
Verifiability
Plinko is the house's own originals game, so it is usually provably fair: the result can be recalculated yourself after the round. That does not apply to third-party studio games.
The houses that have Plinko are collected in the Plinko casino list.
