RTP: how much of a game is left over the long run
RTP (return to player) is the percentage a game pays back from stakes over a long period. A 96% RTP means that for every hundred euros staked, four stay with the house on average. The calculator converts that percentage into your own numbers: how much is expected to be spent at a given turnover, stake and number of rounds.
RTP is an average, not a promise. It holds over millions of rounds, not over your evening. Over a short series the result is decided by volatility — a high-volatility slot with a 96% RTP gives less than a low-volatility slot with the same RTP on most evenings, and occasionally much more. The same average, an entirely different experience.
Where RTP matters most
During wagering. Bonus turnover is where a couple of percentage points turn into real money. €4,000 of required turnover costs an average of €160 at 96% and €240 at 94%. The same bonus, fifty per cent more expensive. The wagering calculator works out the required turnover; here you see its price.
When choosing a game. The RTP of the same title can differ between operators — many providers let the casino choose between several settings. The number is usually on the game's info panel.
In the house's own games. Crypto casinos' "originals" (crash, dice, plinko) often have the highest RTP on the market, 97–99%, and many of them are provably fair — the result can be verified mathematically yourself. Stake and BC.Game are the best-known representatives of that model.
What RTP does not cover
RTP does not account for gas fees or network fees. Frequent small deposits on ERC-20 can cost more than the house edge — our payments page compares networks and fees. Nor does RTP account for withdrawal speed: money stuck on an account is not money won.

How to use RTP in practice
Use RTP for two decisions. The first is game choice during wagering: if you have to generate a large turnover, do it in the highest-RTP game that counts at 100% weighting under the bonus terms. The second is comparing offers: two equally large bonuses are not equal if they have to be cleared in games with different RTPs.
