Cashback: the only bonus whose value is almost always honest
Cashback pays back part of a loss. Unlike a welcome bonus there is no promised amount you never see — there is a percentage and a period. The calculator works out how much a particular percentage really brings back at your volume of play, and how much of that remains when the refund carries a wagering requirement.
Two things decide the value. The first is whether the refund is real money or bonus money. Real money is withdrawable immediately. Bonus money has wagering, and then it has to be run through the wagering calculator before the number can be believed. The second is the calculation base: whether the percentage applies to the net loss (deposits minus withdrawals) or only to lost stakes. The difference is tens of per cent.
Rakeback is not cashback
At crypto casinos you more often meet rakeback: a refund on every stake, regardless of whether you won or lost. It is a smaller percentage but arrives continuously and usually with no wagering requirement. Cashback comes at the end of a period and only if you are down. For a regular player rakeback is mostly more profitable; for an occasional player who loses more at once, cashback fits better. The crypto cashback page explains how casinos use the two words interchangeably.
The cap is in the small print. "20% cashback" together with a "up to €100" line means the percentage no longer applies above a €500 loss. Our cashback offer list states the cap next to every offer.
Where cashback actually makes a difference
Cashback is the only bonus type that becomes more valuable when things go badly — which is exactly why it is worth calculating in advance rather than afterwards. If you plan to play regularly, look at the casinos offering rakeback and compare the percentage with the VIP tier requirements.
Cashback offers at Estonian-licensed houses are a separate market — covered by freespin.ee. Whether a particular casino holds an Estonian licence is shown by the EMTA list of legal operators.

Before you open an account for the cashback
Check three lines: the percentage, the cap and the period. A weekly 10% with no cap is usually more valuable than a monthly 25% with a hundred-euro ceiling. Check also whether cashback is counted before or after turnover played with bonus money — some houses exclude bonus money from the calculation.
And check the withdrawal side: a refund that stays stuck on the account is not a refund. Our fast-withdrawal ranking measures that with a stopwatch, and the payments page compares networks and fees.
